Worcester County 3rd most insured in state
Worcester County has been ranked as one of the most insured places in Massachusetts in a new study from SmartAsset.
The study examined the percentage of people in each county having health, auto and life insurance. It found that Worcester County came in third behind Hampden and Plymouth counties at first and second respectively.
The study found that in Worcester County, auto insurance coverage was at 96.29 percent, health insurance coverage was 96.59 percent and life insurance coverage was 47.13 percent. The greatest variations in coverage were in life insurance coverage.
The percentages were calculated using data from the US Census Bureau 2014 American Community Survey, the Insurance Research Council, and the American Council of Life Insurers 2015 State Fact Sheets.
