Worcester Consumer Day Thursday
The state will hold its first Consumer Education Day on Thursday in Worcester, providing information on banking, insurance, telecommunications and other fields.
The event will take place outside City Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with representatives from state agencies including the Division of Insurance and the Division of Professional Licensure available to hand out information and answer questions.
Barbara Anthony, the state's undersecretary of the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, will discuss consumer education and announce the results of a home improvement contractor sting in Central and Western Massachusetts.
