A private New York City consulting firm has acquired Worcester employee benefits consulting firm Touchstone Consulting Group.
Touchstone now becomes part of Sibson Consulting, a division of The Segal Group providing human resources and benefits consulting to businesses, higher education and nonprofits, The Segal Group announced Tuesday.
Touchstone President David Peck joins Sibson as the vice president and retirement consultant, and the press release noted five employees from Touchstone have joined Sibson Consulting.
Those employees will continue to work in Worcester, The Segal Group said.
The Segal Group is not disclosing the purchase price. Company spokesman Todd Kohlhepp said no employees were lost as a result of the transaction, but some retired and will be retained on a contract basis.
“The depth and breadth of The Segal Group’s resources, including access to tools and intellectual capital, will allow us to strengthen the services we offer to those organizations we have been serving,” Peck said in a statement.
