David Ginisi has been named the new role of chief marketing and communications officer for social service nonprofit Worcester Community Action Council.
Ginisi, a Worcester native and member of the WBJ 40 Under Forty Class of 2021, most recently served as the senior director of marketing and development for The Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg, Leominster, and Gardner, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“We are thrilled to welcome David to the team as our chief marketing and communications officer,” Marybeth Campbell, WCAC CEO, said in a Thursday press conference announcing the move. “His passion for community engagement, combined with his extensive experience in strategic marketing, will be instrumental in elevating WCAC’s visibility and deepening our impact across Central Massachusetts.”
Ginisi holds a bachelor’s degree in communications media from Fitchburg State University and has served in prior roles at the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts, a nonprofit based in Leominster.
Founded in 1965 during President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty, WCAC is a federally designated community action agency and provides emergency and social service programs to residents of 46 Central Massachusetts municipalities.
