A Worcester chiropractor is being charged with falsely billing insurance companies and defrauding insurance companies out of more than $3,400.Â
Kelly Cao, a 47-year-old Shrewsbury woman running Worcester-based Healing Hands Chiropractic, LLC, faces charges of motor vehicle insurance fraud, two counts of larceny over $1,2000 and larceny under $1,200.
Attorney General Maura Healey’s office in an indictment alleges Cao billed three insurance companies for 13 patients for cervical pillows and exercise packets, but those patients never received those items.Â
In addition to not receiving the materials, it is alleged that three of said patients were not even treated by Cao on dates for which she billed their respective insurance companies.
