The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce has signed on to use the StateBook International platform to increase business interest in the region.
The organization’s online platform uses more than 20,000 data points to help businesses identify communities in which to locate. StateBook uses such information as workforce data, taxes, infrastructure, utility costs, incentives and quality of life, the company said in a statement.
“Our platform is the first to aggregate the… data points … to help businesses identify sustainable communities for their headquarters, manufacturing facilities, and more,” Calandra Cruickshank, president of StateBook International, said in a statement.
Many site-selection decisions are made online before a location is ever contacted, according to StateBook.
“We have signed on with StateBook as a charter member to lead our national recruitment effort," Craig L. Blais, executive director of the Worcester Business Development Corp. and a member of the chamber’s board, said in a statement.
