The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce launched a manufacturing roundtable initiative Friday aimed at attracting new and retaining existing manufacturing firms.
Manufacturers from 31 Central Massachusetts cities will be invited to the quarterly discussions, which the inaugural meeting scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at Saint-Gobain Abrasives in Worcester.
“Bringing companies together and understanding their needs is just the first step,” said chamber president Tim Murray.
Based on these discussions, the chamber will create a plan to seek out and assist companies looking to relocate or expand in Central Massachusetts.
