The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday in response to the ongoing impact of the efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus it will extend chamber services to all businesses in Greater Worcester, regardless of membership.
This is the first time the Worcester chamber has ever made such a move.
These services include webinars on working remotely and cybersecurity, assistance with finding employees in industries such as health care, assistance helping financial resources, and access to the chamber’s bi-weekly communications.
“While the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce is a member-based entity with a primary focus on meeting the needs of those approximately 2,100 dues paying organizations, we recognize our mission is also about advocating for the broader needs of the business community as it relates to economic development and job creation in Central Massachusetts,” said chamber President and CEO Timothy Murray, in a press release.
Those interested in learning about government programs available to businesses can contact Alex Guardiola, director of government affairs and public policy, at aguardiola@worcesterchamber.org or call him at 508-753-2924 ext. 222. More general questions about chamber member services can be directed to Kristen Luna, membership sales and services representative, at kluna@worcesterchamber.org or 508-753-2924 ext. 226.
