Worcester CEO, Milford entrepreneur & Marlborough consultant named to Cannabis Advisory Board

Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg announced on Tuesday five appointments to the Cannabis Advisory Board, a 25-person group which studies and makes recommendations to the state regulatory body Cannabis Control Commission.

Those who are appointed by the treasurer are required to have expertise in cannabis cultivation, retailing, product manufacturing, laboratory sciences and toxicology, as well as providing legal services to cannabis businesses, per Tuesday’s announcement.

Those appointed or reappointed by Goldberg include:

  • Laury Lucien, an attorney and CEO of Worcester cannabis dispensary Major Bloom and an expert in providing legal services to cannabis businesses
  • Michael Dundas, an attorney, investor, and entrepreneur who co-founded and served as CEO of Sira Naturals in Milford and an expert in cannabis cultivation
  • Amanda Rositano, principal of Rositano Strategies, a cannabis business consulting firm based in Marlborough and an expert in cannabis product manufacturing
  • Alan Balsam, adjunct associate professor at Tufts Medical School in Boston and Boston University School of Public Health and an expert in laboratory sciences and toxicology
  • Marion McNabb, president of the nonprofit Cannabis Center of Excellence, INC. in Boston and an expert in cannabis retailing
