Worcester Art Museum has brought Heather Davis on to run the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Davis was brought on after a national search, according to a release from the museum, and will begin her new position on Sept. 26. In addition to her duties in the museum, the Hudson resident will serve as a liaison with the finance, investment, and audit committees.
Davis brings to WAM 18 years of finance, managerial and operational experience, ranging from small startup companies to billion dollar organizations. Most recently she was director of finance and operations at CyberSheath Services International, which is headquartered in Virginia.
In 2007, Davis co-founded the Kendall Rose Davis Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization that raises funds for Boston Children’s Hospital. She serves as its treasurer.
“Heather’s combination of senior management and accounting experience, along with her understanding of the special needs of nonprofit organizations, made her our top choice for this important position,” Matthias Waschek, director of the Worcester Art Museum, said in a statement.
