Two buildings containing 44 apartments in downtown Worcester have been sold for $2.4 million, according to a broker involved in the deal.
The broker, NAI Hunneman of Boston, said the apartments, located at 17-23 Chandler St., were sold to Omodi Properties. The buildings have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1990 and are built in a classic revival style, Hunneman said, making it one of the most significant architectural landmarks in the downtown area.
“This sale drew interest from local and regional investors due to its size, proximity to downtown Worcester, and its upside potential,” said Robert Tito of Hunneman. “The assets will only continue to appreciate in value as redevelopment of other neighboring assets continues.”
