Youth Villages, a national nonprofit with offices in Worcester and four other Massachusetts communities, and Germaine Lawrence of Arlington, announced a merger this week that will expand services for adolescent girls with behavioral and emotional disorders.
Youth Villages said girls referred to the organization will now have access to treatment at the Germaine Lawrence campus, which offers residential and community-based programs, as well as Youth Villages’ in-home services for children and families and a transitional living program for former foster children.
Founded in 1987, Youth Villages has been serving children in Massachusetts since 2007. Its Worcester office is located on Grove Street.
