The Worcester Regional Airport will receive $5.35 million from the Federal Aviation Administration to rehabilitate a runway, the FAA announced Tuesday.
The funding is part of a $273-million pool of airport safety and infrastructure grants. The money will be divided among 184 airports in 41 states and six territories.
“The safety of our nation’s airports is of paramount importance to the FAA,” said FAA Administrator Stephen Dickson said in a statement. “These grants will allow these necessary projects to continue.”
