Connecticut-based The Innovative CPA Group has merged with Cerrone, Graham & Shepherd PC, a Worcester-based accounting firm, expanding its footprint into the Bay State.
The merger took effect Nov. 1, and the combined firm is operating under The Innovative CPA Group name. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal brings together the two firms’ accounting, tax, audit and advisory practices. Cerrone, Graham & Shepherd’s staff will remain in place and continue serving clients from the firm’s Worcester office, according to the companies.
Founder and partner Charles Smith said the merger is intended to broaden the firm’s regional reach, while Paul Cerrone, a partner at Cerrone, Graham & Shepherd, said the combination aligns the two firms’ client-service approaches.
Both firms said clients are expected to see no disruption in service during the integration process.
The Innovative CPA Group also has offices in Bethel, Bridgeport, Hamden, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Florida and India, according to its website.
