The largest automobile factory in Worcester designed to build the very stately Bay State automobile is still standing at 67 Millbrook St. and is very much in use. However, it is no longer manufacturing cars and is known by most Worcester area folks by a totally different name. In addition, most Worcester residents have driven by the former motor car plant literally thousands of times, for it is clearly visible from the I-290 intersection with I-190. Although not its official name, the facility is popularly known as the old Thom McAn Building, as it was the former headquarters of the footwear company.Â
