WBJ has partnered with the Worcester Historical Museum to run a year-long trivia contest in celebration of the 300th anniversary of Worcester’s founding on June 14, 1722. Readers should email their answer to the question below by Nov. 23 to bkane@wbjournal.com or complete the Google Form below to compete for a special year-end prize package.

A wire holder

Worcester manufacturer Wirefab, Inc. was founded in 1955 by Asbed “Ozzie” Zakarian. Among the many applications for its products, Wirefab produces wire baskets to hold donuts at various Dunkin locations. At one time, the company also made a wire holder (pictured) for multi-national ice cream shop franchise Baskin-Robbins, which used them to display a specific tasty treat.

Trivia question: What is the Wirefab product in the photo used to hold?

And the answers to last edition’s question: In addition to being a mechanic, the car detailing product Roy Bryon invented, bottled, and sold was car polish.
