Woodmeister Master Builders of Holden has opened an office in Newport, R.I., an area where it has seen strong demand for it luxury homebuilding and remodeling services.
The company said it would also provide home maintenance services in the Newport area. Woodmeister also has an office on Nantucket.
The Newport office will be run by Daniel Paquette, a Newport native and design/build industry veteran who has directed several historic preservation projects in the area. Paquette has consulted with Woodmeister on past projects and was hired by the company in January as its chief sustainability officer.
Woodmeister said southern Rhode Island is a natural market for the company. The company is currently developing a 41-acre, low-density waterfront residential project in the area.
