Developer Wood Partners is proposing a 276-unit mixed-use complex on a 4.5-acre parcel in Marlborough and will hold a public hearing on the proposal Monday.
Wood Partners is headquartered in Georgia with local offices in Lexington. It is the firm responsible for a 370-unit apartment proposal at the former site of the Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Worcester, which is slated to begin construction on May 16.
The company also built apartment complexes in Hopkinton, Framingham, Franklin, and a number of towns in Greater Boston.
The proposed Alta Marlborough apartments would be located along Lincoln and Mechanic streets and consist of 10,074 square feet of ground floor retail and commercial space, along with the 276 units. A 448-space parking garage will be built onsite.
The project would be located on some vacant land on the north corner of Lincoln and Mechanic streets at 283-325 Lincoln St., according to the Town of Marlborough’s website. The parcel at 325 Lincoln St. is owned by the City of Marlborough, and the 283 Lincoln St. plot is owned by a trust.
The public hearing will start at 8 p.m. on Monday at Marlborough's City Hall.
