Wild Oats store to remain open

Natural food fans in greater Hartford just got a break. Whole Foods markets, which last month bought competitor Wild Oats, told the Hartford Business Journal today that both stores will remain open in West Hartford. Whole Foods is closing a number of Wild Oats outlets across the country. But a spokesman said the two stores are far enough apart to keep both operating. Whole Foods also plans a second Capital area store in Glastonbury.
