Worcester City Councilor Sean Rose has been named the CEO of the Westborough human service nonprofit Thrive Support & Advocacy.

Thrive serves those with developmental disabilities and their families through social, recreational and residential programs. Its appointment of Rose is effective Monday.
Rose joins Thrive from JRI Connecticut, a Thompson, Conn., nonprofit for youth and families with trauma, mental illness, and cognitive impairment. Rose was JRI’s executive director for the Connecticut site.
At Thrive, Rose succeeds Michael Rodrigues, who led a rebranding of the nonprofit and established its LEAD, or Leadership, Experience and Development, initiative. Thrive said Rose joins at a time that it is growing steadily in both the number of people and communities served and in programs and services offered.
