Argential, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Westborough-based specialty chemical manufacturer MicroChem Corp., has acquired a New Hampshire materials supplier and will be moving all operations to MicroChem’s 76,000-square-foot Westborough headquarters.
In an agreement effective Sept. 1, Argential has acquired the assets of Conductive Compounds of Hudson, N.H. for an undisclosed amount and will operate under the trade name Applied Ink Solutions. According to a question-and-answer page about the sale on Conductive Compounds’ website, the acquisition is part of an ongoing search by MicroChem to find new products and services that complement its existing materials technologies.
MicroChem acquired Attleboro-based Paratronix, Inc., a parylene coating services and equipment provider, this June.
Conductive Compounds makes functional inks, coatings and compounds that will be complementary to MicroChem products, according to a press release.
All of Applied Ink Solutions will move to Westborough, where it will benefit from space to grow and from access to administrative and engineering resources, according to Conductive Compounds. The exact timetable for the move is still being worked out, but a press release said it will happen later this year.
Conductive Compounds provides high quality engineered materials for the global electronics assembly market.
