Westborough selectmen voted last week to sell nearly 38 acres of the former Westborough State Hospital to developers planning to create 700 housing units.
The selectmen voted to sell the land to Pulte Homes for $7 million at their Nov. 29 meeting, according to town officials. They plan to create over 700 housing units in a community for those 55 years old or older.
As per the original sale agreement between the state and the town, the state would get a cut of the sale.
