SimpliVity, a Westborough-based information technology firm focusing on infrastructure platforms and storage services, announced that it secured $25 million in Series B funding.
The latest round of funding was led by Silicon Valley-based Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), while existing investors Accel Partners and Charles River Ventures also participated.
According to SimpliVity, total funding since its inception in 2009 now totals $43 million. The company will use the new funding to expand its global market activities “as it prepares for a rapid growth year in 2013,” the company said.
