Westborough Firm Buys CCR Unit

Intrepid Advisors LLC of Westborough has bought CCR LLP's CCR Cost Recovery Services LLC subsidiary, also of Westborough.
Both Intrepid and CCR Cost Recovery specialize in research and development tax credit services. Steve Powers, Intrepid president, said CCR Cost Recovery's name would be changed to Intrepid. He said all of CCR Cost Recovery's employees would be hired by Intrepid.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition closed Jan. 1.
The firm does research and development studies for firms that use tax credits from federal and state governments to fund research.
