Westborough Co. Is Finalist For Tech List

Top Layer Networks Inc., of Westborough, is a finalist for the Red Herring 100 Award, a selection of the top 100 innovative private technology companies in North America.
Top Layer Networks, which makes high performance computer network intrusion prevention solutions, was chosen as one of 200 top companies by Red Herring, an online and print high tech news company.
The Westborough company’s products combine content-based intrusion prevent and detection systems, a firewall that keeps track of the state of network connections by inspecting packets as well as attack mitigation algorithms to keep computer networks safe.
The 100 winners will be announced in May at a Red Herring event in San Jose, Calif. The CEOs of the finalist companies will present their ideas and technologies to an audience of leading entrepreneurs, financiers and corporate strategists at the event.
