Proficiency Inc., a Westboro-based software maker for the automotive, defense and heavy machinery industries, has named Alex Shapira as its new CEO.
Before joining Proficiency, Shapira was vice president of production management at Plano, Texas-based UGS and executive vice president for product operations at a UGS subsidiary, Tecnomatix.
Shapira is expected to lead Proficiency as it enters “into a phase of high growth,” according to a press release from the company.
