New York-based Wegmans Food Markets is set to open its massive 146,500-square-foot supermarket in the Natick Mall on April 29, the supermarket chain said Tuesday.
The two-floor location will employ 225 full-time and 325 part-time workers. There are still job openings to fill, the chain said in a press release.
This will be the chain's second Central Massachusetts location, following the Wegmans at Northborough Crossing.
The store will include two restaurants: Blue Dalia Mexican Restaurant & Tequila bar and The Burger Bar.
The grocer announced in August 2015 its plans for a store in the former JC Penny location in the large MetroWest mall. Shoppers will have direct access to the store from the northern entrance off of Flutie Pass.
A five-story parking garage is located directly across the street. The store will be its sixth in the state.
