Wegmans to hire 550 for Natick supermarket

Wegmans is opening a supermarket in the Natick Mall next spring.

Wegmans said Wednesday it has begun hiring approximately 550 employees for its two-story Natick Mall location scheduled to open in spring.
The 134,000-square-foot space, a former JC Penney, will house the supermarket on two floors and include an in-store dining cafe and two restaurant concepts on the second floor. The supermarket is seeking a complementary tenant for the 45,000-square-foot third floor of the building.
Of the 550 employees being sought, 225 are proposed to be full-time.
The company is looking hiring for positions across the board, but with a focus on employees with a background in restaurants and culinary roles.
