Weekly UI Claims Fall

Fewer people filed initial unemployment insurance claims during last week of September compared to the previous week, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, 445,000 people filed UI claims, an 11,000-person decrease from the previous week.
The four-week moving average of initial UI claims decreased 3,000 to 355,750.
In not seasonally adjusted figures, 371,000 people filed initial unemployment claims. That is down from the 451,860 that filed claims during the same week last year.
