Webster-based insurer MAPFRE U.S.A. announced on Tuesday that Alfredo Castello officially succeeded Jaime Tamayo as president and CEO of the company’s North American region.
Castelo joined MAPFRE in 2004 as a deputy manager and in 2010 was appointed third vice chairman of the global businesses management committee.
Tamayo was previously promoted to CEO of MAPFRE’s international division.
MAPFRE Insurance is part of MAPFRE Group, a global insurance company based in Madrid, Spain.
