Webster glass manufacturing facility sold after Toronto firm closes plant

The former Webster location of a Toronto glass manufacturer has been sold to a Boston real estate investment firm for nearly $6 million.
The 168,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 5 Cudworth Road is now owned by GFI Partners of Boston after the sale closed Thursday. GFI could not be reached for comment.
Real estate firm Glickman, Kovago & Jacobs brokered the sale from Toronto-based Saand to GFI, said Jim Glickman, a principal of the brokerage firm.
Saand could not be reached for comment, but Glickman told WBJ the company left the building in December. It was unclear how many workers were laid off as a result.
Saand acquired the site in 2017 from Michigan-based Guardian Industries for about $2.9 million.
