The charitable arm of Webster Five Bank has announced it will give $25,000 to Southbridge-based Harrington HealthCare over the next two years to support construction of a new inpatient behavioral health facility in Webster.
The Webster Five Foundation will donate $12,500 this year and next year under the two-year grant, according to a statement released Thursday morning. The grant is offered through the bank’s Web of Caring to Make a Difference program, which supports local organizations that are addressing the needs of the community.
The 16-bed inpatient unit, Harrington Recovery Services at Webster, is designed to treat people with mental health and addiction problems. Harrington in December said it would begin accepting patients this month.
