Worcester-based Webster First Federal Credit Union has named its inaugural chief human resources officer, promoting employee Erin Jansky to the executive role of one of the largest credit unions in Central Massachusetts.
Jansky most recently served as Webster First’s director of HR, wrote Lauren Conti, the credit union’s community relations coordinator, in an email to WBJ.
In her previous role, Jansky spearheaded the integration of a new HR administrative system to optimize and enhance Webster First’s reporting efficiencies, according to a Monday press release. She also worked to review the credit union’s employee benefits and services.
“As we look ahead, my focus is on elevating the people experience - strengthening our culture, deepening employee engagement, and ensuring Webster First continues to attract and retain exceptional talent,” Jansky said in the release.
While Webster First has had a vice president and director of HR, Jansky is the first HR employee to serve in a C-suite capacity, Conti said.
Prior to joining the credit union in October 2024, Jansky had held executive and leadership roles for local organizations. Most recently, she worked at Worcester Housing Authority, serving as chief employee experience officer for eight years. She has worked for nine years as a senior compliance specialist and paralegal.
Janksy graduated from UMass Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management with her master’s degree in business administration and management.
Founded in 1928, Webster First is the fourth-largest credit union in Central Massachusetts when ranked by assets as of March 31. At that time, the institution held $1.47 billion in assets and had generated a net income of $17.73 million in 2024.
