Webster First Federal Credit Union of Worcester will make its third acquisition of the year on Dec. 31, as Winthrop Federal Credit Union becomes part of the institution.
Webster acquired Saugus Federal Credit Union in May and Fitchburg Federal Credit Union in November.
Winthrop has 4,000 members and $38 million in assets. After the acquisition, Webster will stand at about $619 million in assets and 50,000 members.
The National Credit Union Administration approved the merger in October, and it has since been approved by a vote of members.
