Worcester Business Journal will host the Manufacturing Summit and Excellence Awards, including a panel discussion on the region’s manufacturing economy, at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester on May 10.

The event will feature keynote speaker Christine Nolan, director of the Massachusetts Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. An hour-long panel discussion will follow, focusing on the future of Central Massachusetts’ manufacturing industry as it recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.
Jeannie Hebert, president and CEO of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, will moderate the discussion. Panelists include Joseph Basile, president of Ayer-based Catania Oils, Dan Russel, COO of Ascend Elements in Westborough, and a representative from Milford-based Waters Corp.
WBJ will be awarding seven Central Massachusetts companies with Manufacturing Excellence Awards in a variety of categories, including workforce development, production design, and green manufacturing.
The event will from 3-6 p.m. at the Hogan Campus Center at Holy Cross in Worcester. Parking is complimentary and on-site.
