A $2 HIKE? TAKE A HIKE!
A recent online story about a report that advocates a jump in the Massachusetts minimum hourly wage from $8 to $10 drew a few negative reactions, including these two:
I own a small company. Soaring profits have not been a reality for me. A $2 hike will severely harm my business. The result will be layoffs. Can you explain to me how that is good for the economy again, please?

The people responsible for this nonsense just don't get it. Want to help this country and this state? Get rid of minimum wage. Period. Let people be paid what they are worth as determined by those who pay them.

YOU GOTTA GIVE IN ORDER TO GET
An article posted on our LinkedIn group page addressed the virtues of networking, specifically how some people don't see it as a way to build relationships but a way to network with the sole purpose of landing a job.
Great article. I agree that the best (way) to get future referrals is to give referrals.

STRIKING OUT AT HOME?
