One reader felt the recent fine levied by the state on Westborough trash hauler E.L. Harvey & Sons was excessive, given that the company made an "inadvertent error" in calculating wages on public works projects.
Hmm, they made a mistake (even after legal review), made everyone whole, but still paid a fine of $27,500? Certainly doesn't make you want to run out and bid on public works projects.
