WBJ Talk Back

TOMORROW’S COLLEGES

In the days leading up to last week’s WBJ forum on the future of higher education, we received this comment on our LinkedIn page that framed the topic:

“This is definitely an important topic, one that needs addressing. As technology changes and the cost of tuition continues to rise, higher education institutions must consider how to deliver quality education that meets industry needs while providing affordable education for students.”

Speaking of education, one reader offered this comment following our Oct. 30 online story on the panel discussion hosted by the Worcester Regional Research Bureau that addressed how to keep more college graduates in Central Massachusetts:

“Our local colleges … must continue to work in tandem with local businesses, nonprofits and other organizations to make internships for our students more plentiful, available, and meaningful.”
