The Worcester Business Journal's special 2010 election poll results are in and they look good for Charles Baker. Fifty-eight percent of the 540 people who took our online poll said they plan to vote for the Republican Baker/Tisei ticket. Just 39 percent said they would vote for incumbent Deval Patrick for governor and Timothy Murray for lieutenant governor.
We also asked participants how they plan to vote on Question 3, which would roll back the state's sales tax from 6.25 percent to 3 percent. The results on this question were too close to call. Just 50 percent said they would vote No, which would keep the sales tax at 6.25 percent. But 45 percent said they would vote Yes, while another 5 percent said they were still undecided.
