At the end of July, the Mercantile Center in downtown Worcester announced Webster Five Bank had provided $4.2 million in financing for the center to create a space for the Broadway Hospitality Group to launch a two-story, rooftop restaurant.
Christopher Watson, the senior business lending officer and senior vice president for Webster Five, discussed why the bank decided to move forward in back a high-end restaurant during a time in which the coronavirus pandemic has upended the hospitality industry.
