Watertown firm buys planned Worcester residential development property for $6.4M

SMC Management Corp. of Watertown has purchased the site of a proposed 210-unit development in Worcester.
Two separate deals of $5.5 million and $900,000 closed on Thursday, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The seller of 9 Hemans St. and a Milton St. property, the larger sale, was 9 Hemans Street LLC, affiliated with Boghos Properties LLC, a Topsfield developer whose proposed development was approved by the Worcester Planning Board in March.
The seller of 7 Hemans Court and 19 Hemans St. was the estate of John Murdock.
SMC Management Corp. did not return a request for information about the sale.
