Waters Reports Sales, Income Growth

Milford scientific instrument-maker Waters Corp. reported fourth quarter net income of $98.9 million and net income of $268 million for the year.
In the fourth quarter of 2006, the company reported net income of $79.8 million. The company reported net income of $222 million for the entirety of 2006.
The company reported fourth quarter sales of $437 million, an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Sales for 2007 totaled $1.47 billion, an increase of 15 percent over 2006.
Gross profit for the fourth quarter was $255 million. For the year, that figure was $841 million. The company reported fourth quarter and full-year gross profit of $224 million and $744 million in 2006.
