A new fitting to one of Waters Corporation’s machines will allow scientists to complete sample analysis more quickly.
The iKey HT device from the Milford-based manufacturer is a ceramic tile that is etched with a 300-micron i.d. channel, which takes the place of a 150 micron channel, allowing for separations to be run at a higher flow rate. This allows scientists to shorten run times to three minutes or less.
The previous version of the ionKey/MS system with the 300 micron channel received an innovation award in 2014 following its release.
