Waters Corp. Posts Healthy Returns

Waters Corp., the Milford-based international laboratory instrument manufacturer, reported a $433 million profit on $1.8 billion in revenues in 2011, which are both increases from the year before.
Revenues for the company rose 13 percent on the year from $1.6 billion in 2010, while profits rose from $381 million in 2010.
For the fourth quarter of 2011, the company's revenues rose 8 percent year-over-year, from $483 million to $521 million, while profits increased from $126 million to $137 million.
The company said favorable currency exchange rates increased the value of year-end sales about 3 percent.
