Waters Corp., a Milford scientific instrument manufacturer, has signed an agreement to conduct research with a Dutch company with a local office in Westborough.
Waters has entered into a co-marketing agreement with Malvern Panalytical, it announced Tuesday, to assist with research of polymers, which are substances made of groups of molecules. The partnership will combined Waters's ACQUITY Advanced Polymer Chromatography System, which is used to study polymers, with Malvern Panalytical's OMNISEC REVEAL, a type of detector for studying molecules.
Waters said the combination of the two technologies will help researchers access higher-sensitivity and higher-resolution data.
The announcement did not say whether the partnership would include Malvern Panalytical's Westborough office. The company, which creates technology for scientists and engineers, has offices across the world, with headquarters in the Netherlands.
