Milford-based Waters Corp. said it has bought VTI Corp., a Florida-based manufacturer of pharmaceutical analysis equipment.
Waters said it would make VTI part of its TA Instruments division. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. VTI’s founder, Augie Venero, will join TA Instruments.
Waters makes high-tech laboratory equipment for the pharmaceutical, health care, environmental and other markets. The company employs about 5,000 people internationally.
