Wachusett Brewing Co. and Atlas Distributing are releasing a new beer to raise money for coronavirus response funds.
The beer, an India pale ale called Glory American IPA, will be available in six packs starting this week, Wachusett announced Monday.
Funds from sales of the new beer will benefit the Worcester Together fund, which is a joint effort between the the City of Worcester, the United Way of Central Massachusetts and the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, as well as the the United Way of North Central Massachusetts Stand United Fund and the United Way of Tri-County Community Response Fund.
Leaders for Westminster-based Wachusett and Auburn-based Atlas Distributing said they were proud to partner on the new project and wanted to do what they could to help efforts to respond to the pandemic.
The Worcester Together fund raised nearly $4 million through April 6. Funds have been distributed to area groups for medical supplies, and for food and personal and baby products for families.
