Volturno Pizza Napoletana has opened its second location, in Framingham just across Route 9 from Framingham State University.
The new restaurant, at 1 Edgell Road, opened Saturday. For now, it is open only for dinner starting at 5 p.m., and is closed on Sundays.
The Framingham Volturno plans within a few months to add lunch and brunch hours, employee Emily Plasse said. The new location has a few similar menu to the Worcester location and has a full bar, she said.
Owner Gregory Califano Jr. opened the Worcester location, at 72 Shrewsbury St., in 2013. The restaurant doesn't just make Neapolitan-style pizza in its 900-degree ovens. It has been certified as a proper Neapolitan pizzeria by the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani.
