ViryaNet shareholders approve $18.8M sale

Stockholders for Westborough mobile software company ViryaNet have voted to approve the company’s acquisition by Verisae Inc. for $18.8 million in cash announced last month.

ViryaNet said in a statement that it had received a majority vote Thursday in favor of the merger announced June 11, with approximately 99.7 percent of the ordinary share votes and all “Preferred A Share” votes cast. Stockholders met yesterday at ViryaNet’s Israel offices.

Following regulatory approvals in Israel and completion of the deal, ViryaNet will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Minnepolis-based Verisae, a cloud-based software company.
