Virtusa Revenues Rise 33 Percent

Westborough IT company Virtusa saw its revenues rise 33 percent year-over-year to $70.3 million in the second quarter of its fiscal 2012 year.

The company’s profits rose to $4.7 million for the quarter, compared to $3.7 million for the same period last year.

The company said its growth reflects the success of investments in the health care industry and other areas, as well as increased business in the banking and financial services arena.

The company also updated its financial guidance, saying it expects revenues for the fiscal year of between $276 and $284 million.
